Nengmay Vang also coordinated HAFA’s interpretation services such as:
- Individual and Agencies calling in to request an interpreter (Hmong, Lao
or others language) Nengmay chooses from a selection of staff whom are
qualified for the job and assigns him/her to call and schedule with the
agency/individual.
- Interpretation services fee is $35.00/hour and limited two hours per
request. If additional hours are needed, the fee will be $45.00/hour, for
every hour passed the initial two hours.
- Translation from English to Hmong or Lao is handled by a few staffs such
as Nengmay Vang who is one of the skilled translation personel for both the
Hmong and Lao language (Translation of one language to another cannot be word
by word but contextualized to that language without changing the meaning). The
Fee for translation is negotiable.
- Translation referral services are also handled here at Hmong/American
Friendship Association.
