The Southeast Asian Statewide Bilingual Crisis Hotline has
been established since 1997. It is funded by the Office of Justice/Violence
Against Women Act (VAWA). It is the only hotline throughout the state of
Wisconsin that staffs professional Hmong bilingual persons to answer the phone
24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The hotline provides:
- Services on a statewide basis to Southeast Asian
victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Information to those who are seeking information
about culturally competent services throughout the state of Wisconsin.
- Crisis intervention and safety planning
- Counseling
- Emergency referrals to shelters
- Over the phone interpretation
All services are free and confidential.
